Descend into the Echo Vein

Echo Vein is a 2D roguelike mining & combat game. You play as an operator – Bulwark, Pathfinder, or Borecaster – descending into procedurally generated caves to mine valuable resources, fight the Hollowborn, complete mission objectives, defeat the Sector Boss, and reach extraction before time runs out.

Every run makes you stronger through permanent upgrades, operator prestige, and milestone rewards.

---

⛏️ Core Loop

1. Mine – Tunnel through destructible terrain to uncover Gild Shards, Voltarite, Echo Shards, and rare ores. Manage your tool's heat to avoid overheating.

2. Fight – Face 20+ enemy types with distinct behaviours, from charging beetles to teleporting void mites. Each run escalates with Hollow Pressure, spawning tougher foes.

3. Complete missions – Choose from Hunt, Survey, Harvest, or Holdout objectives. Each mission type changes your goal and reward multiplier.

4. Defeat the boss – Each sector has a unique boss (Hollow Tyrant, Hex Shard Colossus, or Molten Maw) with phase transitions and weak points.

5. Extract – Reach the extraction craft before the timer expires to bank your resources and progress.

Was having some fun but playing on mobile, could use some adjustments to polish  up some issues. When selecting things from the beginning menu on mobile, the drone progression is practically impossible to see and hard to move since it only has half an inch of space. Maybe a toggle lock for the joystick so it isnt fixed in the bottom left screen where moving can be hard cause of corners of the phone and on the "run failed" screen, I can't hit restart run or back to menu cause its at the bottom and I can't scroll on the menu to select anything

hey this game does not work at all hardly in browser with a monitor that is bigger than 20 inches. Please add a windows dl for it.  The upgrades scrolling menus etc...just bounce around instead of scroll due to it being browser only.  I would like to play it!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to try EchoVein!

I hopefully fixed the issues you found. I've reworked the browser version so the menus behave properly (I hope!) and improved support for larger monitors.

I've also added a Windows downloadable version, so if you'd rather play outside the browser, that should now be available on the project page as well.

Let me know if it plays better than the previous release and thanks again for helping make the game better :-)

I am a fun of Deep Rock Galactic Survivor  and I tried to learn its mechanics and mimic them in this top down game exercise.
